KBC 16: Contestant Dr. Neeraj Saxena left the Game Midway to Give a Chance to Others, Host Amitabh Bachchan Appreciates his Selfless Gesture

KBC 16: It is only in a remarkable Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 that a contestant like Dr. Neeraj Saxena astonished all with his decision to quit the game midway, letting people know that they too have some chance to shine. The never-before effort came after Dr. Saxena had shown his impressive knowledge and strategic gameplay to earn a total of ₹6,40,000.

The show began with rollover contestant Ranveer Raghuvanshi, who had won ₹80,000 earlier. He faced a stern round of questions and finally lost up to ₹10,000 and vacated the stage for the Chief PRO Chancellor at JSI University in Kolkata, Dr. Neeraj Saxena. Dr. Saxena, who showed how inspirational he was and what he and his job under former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam had meant to him, soon became an instant favorite.

Dr. Neeraj's Amazing Journey Continues 

He had started off great, answering questions and earning the "Dugnastra" superpower. His journey included a major win when he correctly identified the location of the Sri Venkateswara Temple and later an answer regarding Abhinav Bindra's rifle at the Olympic Museum.

But in a emotional gesture, he requested host Amitabh Bachcha to step down and allow him to leave stating, "I want the rest of the contestants, who are younger than me, to get a chance. What I have earned is enough." For the first time, a contestant in KBC has quit for others.

A standing ovation stood testimony to the fact that, indeed, a great decision like such can only be made by someone as extraordinary as Dr. Saxena and could not be hidden by Amitabh Bachchan, who presented his appreciation for the humility and generosity with which Dr. Saxena bestowed upon him by saying, "This is your greatness and big heart, and we got to learn a lot from you."

Being on course, the show continued with Soniya Rijwani after moving on from Dr. Neeraj. The emotional story of overcoming family struggles captivated the audience. Soniya shared her experience in supporting her mother and further journeying once her father had abandoned them. Soniya performed marvelously too, winning ₹3,20,000 for demonstrating this spirit.
