Sakshi Malik explained that after returning her medal in protest, she quickly realized that it was the wrong decision. Within half a kilometer, it hit me that we had returned the medal wrongly," she said. The athlete went on to say that the protest, which initially had genuine intentions, was taken over by external forces, leaving her and other athletes disillusioned.
