Telangana: 9th Grade Girl Pregnant After Gang Rape, Investigation Underway
A tragic incident has surfaced in Telangana, where a 9th-grade student became pregnant following an alleged gang rape. The crime came to light after the girl's mother took her to the hospital due to health issues, where medical tests revealed she was pregnant.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police G Madhu, the girl was found to be pregnant during a routine examination at a hospital in Siddipet. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that the girl had been repeatedly assaulted by three young men in March and April when her mother was not at home.
The girl's mother filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of the three accused individuals from Dubakka Mandal and Akbarpet-Bhoompally Mandal. The authorities have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Officials from the Bharosa Center, a support system for sexual assault survivors, are working closely with the victim to gather additional information.
