Ramesh said that the Congress was holding a national caste census and ending the 50% quota with SC/ST/OBC. He was of the view that it is an important step going according to the principles of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's Constitution and of much importance in the process of mutual distribution of social, political, and economic justice in Indian society.

Significance of Telangana Caste Survey:

Ramesh declared the caste survey to be an important step toward fulfilling Telangana's aspirations. Rahul Gandhi, during his visit to Hyderabad this week, stated that Congress Party will certainly conduct this survey at the national level. The initiative is going to prove as a potent tool in identifying social and economic inequalities prevailing all over India.

Congress Meeting on Caste Survey Held on November 5

Earlier, Congress had met on November 5 in Telangana where Rahul Gandhi had promised to fulfill his commitment with respect to the caste survey and said that it is part of the national agenda for the party. According to him, Congress aims to bring significant change toward a more equal and just society for Indians.

The latest decision by the Congress party has something special as the party is working to achieve equity, and it seeks to rectify systemic inequalities within Indian society.
