Thiruvananthapuram News: In the early hours of Wednesday, a man was reportedly abducted by a group of unidentified men while he was travelling in an autorickshaw in Thiruvananthapuram, according to police reports. The identity of the kidnapped individual remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway.

According to the autorickshaw driver’s statement to the police, the man, who appeared to be in his 30s, boarded the rickshaw near the entrance of the Thiruvananthapuram airport. He requested to be taken to the Thampanoor bus depot, intending to catch a bus to Nagercoil. However, as the autorickshaw approached the Sreekandeswaram area, two cars blocked its path. A gang of eight men forcibly transferred the passenger into one of the cars and quickly drove away.

"Based on the autorickshaw driver's account, the kidnapped man spoke Tamil," a police officer said. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine whether the man had arrived at the airport and if he was carrying any luggage at the time of the incident.
