In a significant move to curb criminal activities, four more individuals involved in serious crimes such as murder, robbery, theft, and attempted murder have been declared "gundas" and banned from the district for six months. This decision follows a court hearing spanning two days under the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, 1970.

Details of the District Ban

The Additional Police Commissioner Dinesh Kumar P., announced that the four individuals have been banned from the district following their involvement in various crimes. The accused include:

  • Manish alias Mangal from Rajapur village in the Kawinagar police precinct. He faces 15 cases at Kawinagar police station, four at Madhuban-Bapudham police station, and one at Masuri police station.
  • Shane Alam alias Shanu from Garima Garden, Khoda police precinct, with 17 cases registered against him.
  • Waseem Siddiqui from Khoda precinct, who has 14 cases against him.
  • Saddam from Basti Pathanan Mohalla, Muradnagar, with 11 cases.

These individuals have been ordered to stay outside the district for the next six months as part of their district ban.

Yearly Statistics and Impact

Ghaziabad Additional Police Commissioner Dinesh Kumar P. also reported that, in 2024, a total of 462 criminals have been declared "gundas" and banned from the district. Additionally, 99 notorious criminals have been instructed to report daily to their local police stations. The Additional Police Commissioner emphasized that the presence of these banned individuals has instilled fear in the community, preventing people from filing complaints against them. The district ban is expected to foster a safer, crime-free, and peaceful environment for residents.
