Hyderabad case: Blind Parents Spent 4 Days With Son's Body

A heart-wrenching incident has been reported from Hyderabad's Blinds Colony. According to reports, an elderly blind couple unknowingly spent four days in their home with the body of their 30-year-old son, Pramod, who is said to have died without their knowledge. The tragedy came to light when foul smell started emanating from their home and the police were informed by the neighbors.

 Couple in Hyderabad Unknowingly Lives with Son's Body for Days

It had been 4-5 days since Pramod had died in his sleep, police officials said today. The elderly couple had been living with their younger son in a rented flat in the city. He and his wife Shanti Kumari are both suffering from eye ailments. An elder son lives in a different city. His wife had left him a couple of years ago, leaving behind two daughters. A further burden on his health was reported to be the alcoholism that Pramod was suffering from.

For four days, the old couple did not get any response from Pramod. Since their voices were too low, no one noticed their screams for help from the neighboring houses. The police took them to the station very weak and in a confused state. They were served food and water, and after proper medical care, they were sent to live with their elder son.
His body was given to the government hospital, where a post-mortem was conducted. Cases have been registered over the incident.
