Yogi Government Takes Major Action Salaries of 2.44 Lakh Employees Withheld

Lucknow – In a significant move, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has withheld the salaries of 2.44 lakh government employees who failed to submit their property details by the stipulated deadline.

The government had mandated that all employees must submit a detailed account of their movable and immovable assets by August 31. Despite the directive, only 71% of the employees complied, leaving a substantial number who did not meet the deadline.

The Chief Secretary had issued clear instructions, giving employees until August 31 to provide the necessary details of their assets. Those who failed to comply with the directive have now faced the consequences, as the state government has taken the drastic step of freezing their salaries.

This action underscores the government's commitment to transparency and accountability within its workforce, signaling that non-compliance with official directives will be met with strict repercussions. The move is expected to serve as a strong message to all government employees about the importance of adhering to state regulations and maintaining transparency in their financial disclosures.
