Greater Noida Murder: Husband Strangles Wife to Death Over Alleged Affair, Arrested by Police

An incident occurred in the Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida where a man strangled his wife to death, allegedly for having an illicit relation. The accused, according to reports, is Chunnilal. He called the police initially to report his wife's murder and accused three persons, but he ran when the police reached the area.

The Crime Unfolds

The incident occurred at Badoli village on 28 December. Chunnilal, who lived with his wife in a rented house, reported the incident to the police at 9 PM claiming that someone had murdered his wife. Acting on the above information, the police lodged a case based on a complaint from the brother of the deceased and sent the body for post-mortem. Suspicion grew as Chunnilal went missing after reporting the crime.

Confession After Arrest

Using surveillance, the police traced and arrested Chunnilal. In interrogation, he confessed to killing his wife on the grounds that she had an affair with a man from their village. Chunnilal said that despite repeated warnings, his wife refused to end the relationship, thus strangling her out of frustration.
