Liquor Shop Timings Extended in UP: Stores to Remain Open Until 11 PM on These Dates

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared revised timings for the liquor shops on special days. Liquor shops are going to remain open until 11 PM on 24th, 25th, and 31st December. They will be opening one hour after the standard closing time of 10 PM.

Extended Hours on Special Dates

The Excise Department has issued this decision to accommodate increased demand during Christmas and New Year celebrations. District Excise Officer Mahendra Pratap Singh confirmed that liquor shops, including those selling beer and country-made alcohol, will operate from 10 AM to 11 PM on these dates.

All retail liquor shops, according to the order, shall remain open during the festivals to ensure that liquor was available. However, the regular closing time of 10 PM shall be retained on other days. This is to increase customer convenience during the festival season.
