While performing the tilak ceremony, prepare a thali in which you include roli, akshat consisting of whole rice grains, flowers, betel nut, betel leaf, silver coin, dry coconut, kalawa, fruits, sweets, and diya. ### Bhai Dooj Tilak Ceremony Vidhi (Process) For starting the ritual of Bhai Dooj, brother and sister need to bathe and wear pure clothes. The sister will prepare a thali and standing north-east will put a tilak on her brother. Her brother is to be seated on a wooden seat while facing north or northwest. Sisters give their brother sweet, coconut, and rice. They will also conduct an aarti and offer him good fortune and a long life. The brother too has to gift his sisters for a healthy bonding with them.
